Blessed are You Eternal Spirit who has given us life, sustained us, and allowed us to arrive in this moment. The Shehechiyanu blessing expresses the wonder of having reached this moment—one we’ve been at many times before, but to which we arrive this year anew. This year, as LGBTQ+ and ally Jews, we recite it to celebrate the miracle and the power of our existence. Shehechiyanu. We are surviving. We are persisting. We are still here.
As we usher in 5787 together, we hope you find inspiration in our High Holiday resources, act to build a better world through our Tzedek Tzedek Tir’Vote voter mobilization campaign, and donate to Keshet to enable the critical work ahead.
