Keshet works for LGBTQ+ equality in Jewish life, with an educational and cultural focus on LGBTQ+ and Jewish life in North America. This resource translates key English terms into Hebrew, while reflecting their common use in North American settings. The intent of this translation is to ensure that our trainings are accessible to Hebrew-speaking participants. We encourage those seeking to understand how these terms might be used in Israeli contexts or who are seeking education primarily focused on the distinct experience of being LGBTQ+ in Israel to connect with Israeli LGBTQ+ organizations, such as The Aguda, the Jerusalem Open House, and Ma’avarim – Israeli Trans Community.
