• that there are no statewide protections for LGBTQ people in Florida?
• that in many places in Florida, a person can be fired, denied housing, or refused services because of their sexual orientation or gender identity

The Florida Competitive Workforce Act would establish non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ Floridians in employment, housing, and public accommodations.

All people should have the basic right to earn a living, have a place to live, and enjoy a meal. The Florida Competitive Workforce Act would make those rights a reality for LGBTQ people.

This work for equality is a fundamental part of our Jewish tradition. Campaign Chairs Ruthie Berman, Elizabeth Schwartz, and Drew Tabatchnick, along with our organizational partners (see list below) will lead Keshet’s efforts to mobilize South Florida’s Jewish community in support of equal rights and equal protections.
