Updated headmaster picklist option to Head of School MB 2/13/24

We offer several programs including...

Taking Action for LGBTQ+ Rights is a Jewish Value:
Explore Jewish values that guide our thinking on the importance of taking action for LGBTQ+ rights, learn about different forms of activism and how Jews take a stand for LGBTQ+ rights, and examine the current state of LGBTQ+ rights nationally and locally. We will end this event by taking action for LGBTQ+ rights!

Identity based trainings:
Who you are and where you’re at in life will inform your approach to taking action. Whether you are a grandparent, under 18 years old, a clergy member, etc – let’s leverage your positionality to make essential change happen.

The State of LGBTQ+ Rights in Your Location:
LGBTQ+ human and civil rights laws vary by state, region, and city. Keshet's training will bring your community up to date on what's happening where you are as well as nationally - and how you can take action. This can include information about GOTV work in your area, as well as the climate of anti-trans legislation.

Taking an intersectional lens to LGBTQ+ activism:
Let’s have a conversation about any of the following topics, and think about how LGBTQ+ rights are compatible in the fight for liberation for all.
  • Abortion access
    • Participants will learn about the interconnected history of the LGBTQ+ rights and abortion rights movement, as well as explore the power of inclusive language.
  • Separation of Church and State
    • This training will explore the Jewish reasons for wanting a stronger secular government that is not controlled by Christian ideology, and provide resources to let your elected officials know why separation of Church and State is important both to LGBTQ+ people and Jewish people.
  • Climate justice
    • Part of taking care of our community and people includes building a more just, sustainable world for generations to come.
  • Racism
    • By understanding how to dismantle the combined threat of racism and anti-LGBTQ+ bias in the Jewish community, we can create a safe place for LGBTQ+ Jews of Color in our synagogues, our day schools, and beyond.
  • Anti-semitism
    • By understanding how anti-LGBTQ ideology and anti-semitism are connected, we can better fight to dismantle the systems that perpetuate harm to LGBTQ+ Jews.

Please share with us any additional information that will help us understand your individual or organizational needs.
