To meet the growing demand among summer camps to develop LGBTQ-affirming communities, Keshet is offering a pilot program to allow camps to access self-facilitated staff training materials for LGBTQ belonging at camp. These resources will empower summer camp leaders to facilitate a 90-minute LGBTQ training for their own staff.
By filling out this form, you are requesting access to our training videos, curriculum, and facilitator’s workshop in 2022. This program is self-facilitated: each camp will identify 2-6 staff members who will use Keshet’s videos and training curriculum to facilitate a 90-minute orientation training for staff.
For the cost of $360 per camp, each participating camp will receive our series of 10 mini-videos, a curriculum for a 90-minute staff orientation (which can be broken into two or more sessions), and participation in our online facilitator’s workshop.
In order to participate, camps must send the 2-6 staff members who will facilitate these trainings to a Facilitator's Workshop session. Sessions take place online on Tuesday, May 10th from 3:00-5:30 PM Eastern / 12:00-2:30 Pacific, and Thursday, May 19th from 12:00-2:30 Eastern / 9:00 - 11:30 Pacific. Individual participants may select either date, and will be offered their choice during the next step of the registration process.
These staff facilitators may be unit heads, specialists, members of the camp’s leadership team, social workers, or other staff members who will be best equipped to deliver this training content to the full staff.
We will accept applications on a first-come first-served basis until our facilitator’s workshop sessions are at capacity.
For an additional sliding-scale fee we can offer a custom Facilitator’s Workshop for your camp staff only at a mutually agreed upon time. To inquire about this option, please contact Rabbi Micah Buck-Yael at
