By Keshet
Keshet is made up of a team of dedicated, smart, and fun individuals, and we’re conducting interviews with them so that you get to know them a little better! We recently spoke with Keshet’s Jews of Color Program Manager Sage Cassell-Rosenberg (they/he). Here’s what they had to say:
What excites you the most about working at Keshet?
The fact that my job exists! I’ve gotten in the habit of telling people that even if I wasn’t the one to have been offered this role, just seeing that Keshet, an LGBTQ+ Jewish organization, had a job opening for someone to create programs for LGBTQ+ Jews of Color, would heal a large part of my inner child that craved the support that Keshet intends on offering to queer Jews of Color.
What brings you joy?
Taking the time to allow my inner child to roam free, explore, and cultivate moments of healing and joy.
What do you value most in a job/work environment?
Role and task clarity.
What is a book, movie, TV show, or podcast you’ve experienced recently that you’d recommend?
Umm…As someone who just finished binge-watching all NINE seasons of Desperate Housewives, I’m not sure I’m the best person to ask…
If you could tell your childhood self anything, what would it be?
You are so unbelievably loved and happy at this exact moment.
Name one song on your playlist that you can’t live without.
“Alien Superstar” by Beyonce
What are you currently working on that you’re most excited about?
I’m thrilled to be revisiting the idea for a truly amazing event for queer Jews of Color that was set to take place during 2023, but we had to postpone. It’s an incredible project, and I can’t wait to dive into the planning process and explore how we can make it even more memorable and impactful when it returns to our calendar. Stay tuned for some exciting updates coming your way!
