Community Mobilization Manager
she/her/hers or they/them/theirs
Lanie is a strategic thinker, seasoned advocate, and proud feminist killjoy, driven by a deep commitment to tikkun olam. As Keshet’s Community Mobilization Manager, she brings her passion for community-building and intersectional justice to the Jewish fight for LGBTQ+ rights.
Lanie believes that hope is a revolutionary act in the pursuit of social justice. She was drawn to Keshet’s mission of harnessing the collective strength of Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities, building resilience, and turning shared vision into action. At Keshet, she is honored to be part of a powerful cycle of learning and activism—guiding others to discover their unique role in changemaking, just as mentors once did for her.
Originally from Chicagoland, Lanie earned degrees in Gender & Women’s Studies and Strategic Communications with a minor in Intercultural Global Studies from the University of Denver. She previously trained communities in gender violence prevention and worked for the Colorado House Majority Leader to advance progressive policies, including the landmark Reproductive Health Equity Act.
Now based in New York City, Lanie spends her free time dodging tourists on her Citi Bike, offering positive affirmations to her plant babies, and scheming how to travel the entire globe in this lifetime.
