Giving to Keshet Is an Act of Hope

$86,432

New and increased gifts, as of December 4

Our youth deserve a better future.

2023 has been a painful and difficult year for all of us, especially since the October 7th attacks on Israel. At such a time when it is easy to despair, we find hope and inspiration from the voices of our young people.

On this page, we proudly feature six testimonial videos by Keshet’s LGBTQ+ and Ally Teen Shabbaton leaders and participants. Your support for Keshet today means that in 2024, we will:

  • Create 2,500+ opportunities for queer Jewish youth to be their full selves,
  • Train leaders serving 3 million people to build communities of belonging, and
  • Mobilize 500+ Jewish organizations to fight for LGBTQ+ rights.

New and increased annual giving can be fully matched up to $100,000. Help us pass our goal by December 31!

About the Keshet Matching Challenge

Q: What does my Keshet Matching Challenge gift make possible?

A: New and increased donations through the Keshet Matching Challenge will be used to invest in Keshet’s organizational capacity and will be matched $1-for-$1, up to $100,000. Your gift makes empowers and celebrates queer and trans youth through additional Keshet Shabbaton weekend retreats in 2024. Your donation makes possible Keshet’s expansion in Texas and Arizona to train Jewish institutions how to build communities of belonging and to mobilize for LGBTQ+ rights. Your gift creates spaces by and for LGBTQ+ Jews of Color where they can be their full, fabulous selves! Your contribution strengthens Jewish life across North America. The Keshet Matching Challenge is made possible through OnBoard, a program of a prominent national foundation.

Q: What donations count toward the Keshet Matching Challenge?

A: Total donations that you make to Keshet in 2023 must exceed your 2022 giving to Keshet. The amount of your increased giving counts toward the Keshet Matching Challenge when donating through this special campaign. Help us reach $100,000 by December 31 to access matching funds through the OnBoard program, part of a prominent national foundation.  Note: One-time gifts made in 2022 toward Keshet’s special Dare to Dream campaign are not counted as part of your 2022 total giving baseline.

Q: Where can I find out how much I donated to Keshet’s annual campaign last year?

A: You can use our 2022 annual campaign lookup tool! If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

Thank You to Our Donors!

Last updated December 8th.

The below donors have generously contributed to Keshet when the challenge was launched during Pride Month 2023 or directly toward the matching program. Thank you!
