Join Chicagoland Jewish organizations for an evening of social justice in a sukkah. Sukkot is a harvest festival commemorating the memory of the Israelites seeking shelter in temporary huts while wandering in the desert after the Exodus from Egypt. Together, we will gather in a sukkah (temporary hut or booth) where we will enjoy food, learning and community.
Our evening will be centered around the “Bring Chicago Home,” an initiative aimed at ending homelessness in Chicago.
KAMII, 18Doors, JCUA, Keshet for LGBTQ+ Equality, Moishe House, and Repair the World are excited to have you join us! Teachers from these partner organizations will share what Judaism can teach us about committing to tikkun olam, repairing the world.
