Come together with other LGBTQ Jews ages 18-24 to interpret and understand prayer on your own creative terms. We will look at interpretations and translations of a Jewish prayer together and then split off into small groups or individuals to work on your own musical, artistic, and/or poetic interpretations of the prayer.

Syd Bakal (they/them) is a non-binary trans* and queer Jewish singer-songwriter. Syd is currently a junior at Yale University studying Ethics, Politics, and Economics. In their free time, they like to write music, perform with their jazz a cappella group, lead services, go biking, and have phone-walks with friends.
