About

Rabbi Eric L. Abbott believes that Judaism can change lives and better the world, and he feels incredibly honored and excited to lead BJC and the Bethesda Jewish community toward that shared vision. Rabbi Eric strives to build a community in which people are seen and affirmed, where he guides them toward personal growth from a Jewish lens--and where the world is just a little bit better. Rabbi Eric officiates weddings for LGBTQ+ and interfaith couples. He welcomes conversations about co-officiation with clergy of other faiths.
