About

P’nai Or of Portland is a small, vibrant, and deeply welcoming congregation where every person is celebrated! Whether you’re LGBTQ+, interfaith, exploring Judaism for the first time, or steeped in Jewish knowledge, you’ll find a home with us. We believe in going beyond affirmation by celebrating the Divine reflected in every individual. We embrace all genders, sexual orientations, races, abilities, and family structures. We’ve also reduced financial barriers to ensure everyone can participate fully. Our services are joyful, musical, and spiritually rich. Our inspiration comes from Torah, Kabbalah, the teachings of the Chassidic masters, and Jewish and non-Jewish contemporary sources.

If you’ve been searching for a community that truly welcomes you, we are so thrilled you’ve found us! We offer income-based sliding scale Full and Associate Memberships to meet everyone's needs.
