About

Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minnesota offers a program called J-Pride. J-Pride is a lively, welcoming community by and for LGBTQ+ Jews and allies in the Twin Cities. J-Pride cultivates belonging, connection, and thriving Jewish life through fun and meaningful gatherings all year round. We celebrate that LGBTQ+ Jewish folks exist 365 days of the year and have crafted programming to match. Everyone deserves to be their fully authentic selves. J-Pride creates spaces where this is safe, possible, and fun for LGBTQ+ Jews. We host monthly Coffee Socials, connect LGBTQ+ Jewish newcomers to local resources, partner with other groups for exciting social and ritual events, provide consultations about LGBTQ+ Jewish inclusion, and much more. Since 2006, J-Pride proudly represents the Jewish community at the annual Twin Cities Pride Festival in June. Jews of all identities come together to celebrate and show LGBTQ+ solidarity. J-Pride has a booth at the festival, marches in the Pride Parade, hosts a pluralistic Pride Shabbat Service, and organizes events throughout the Pride Month of June.
