About

Tzedek America is an excellent place for the LGBTQ+ community because inclusion isn’t a side program - it’s woven into everything we do. As a nonprofit that creates immersive, social-justice–focused experiential education and travel programs, we intentionally center LGBTQA+ voices, stories, and perspectives across all of our journeys and curricula. Beyond representation, we cultivate spaces rooted in safety, dignity, and belonging: our educators are trained in trauma-informed and identity-affirming facilitation, our programs use inclusive language and practices, and we uplift intersectional justice - recognizing how LGBTQ+ experiences connect with race, immigration, environmental justice, and economic equity. Participants are invited to show up as their full selves, learn in community, and translate values into action. In short, Tzedek America doesn’t just welcome LGBTQ+ people - we actively build with them, learn from them, and stand alongside them in the work of justice.

We also live these values internally, with LGBTQ+ representation on our team and within our own families - including LGBTQ+ children of staff -deepening our commitment to authenticity, visibility, and belonging.
