IKAR is a place that has always been and continues to be committed to the LGBTQ+ community. Our queer and trans community are foundational to us and the work that we do. We are always in conversation with our people to make sure that we are doing better and being better advocates and allies. And we believe deeply that queer and trans visibility in our spaces, especially as a shul, is critical and sacred. We also speak from the pulpit, often, and explicitly, about our queer and trans community. We want to make sure it is a safe place for any member of the LGBTQ+ community.
