About

Before you even walk in our doors, you will see an LGBTQ+ safe space sticker so that you know you are welcome at Temple Israel. We have also worked with Keshet to become more inclusive and have hosted or sponsored an annual Pride Shabbat.

Temple Israel embraces all in their Judaism as everyone matters and everyone makes a difference. That starts with our youngest congregants. Our religious school includes the following statement on all communications: The Meitin Alliance for Growth and Learning (MAGAL) is a cooperative school drawing students from multiple synagogues and Jewish movements. We welcome all families and children and believe in equity and belonging across race, gender, nation of origin, and identity. Our community is enriched because of our differences.
