About

I am the co-creator of Makom Shelanu, an affirming congregation in Ft. Worth, TX. I began this congregation to have the opportunity to create uplifting, innovative and inclusive services, programming and resources that will support and celebrate our LGBTQ+ community. Advocating for their rights and fostering interfaith connections with other affirming congregations, are also priorities for Makom Shelanu. Speaking out against LGBTQ injustice is both a moral imperative for me as clergy and as the mother of three adult LGBTQ+ children. I am also the chair of the LGBTQ+ action team of Justice Network Tarrant County, a consortium of faith congregations doing advocacy work in the greater Ft. Worth area. I also serve on the Social Justice Commission of Conservative/Masorti Judaism, and co-chair their LGBTQ+ subcommittee.

Rachel Gollay, the SW Mobilization Manager for Keshet, is a member of Makom Shelanu, and we have partnered with Keshet on a number of events.
