About

Hi! I'm Rabbi Emily. Much of my rabbinate is about helping those in the Jewish community who feel that they don't have a place, or whose place has been challenged in many parts of the Jewish world, to find full belonging. For me, the particular joy of working with LGBTQ+ Jews and their loved ones is getting to both embrace and wrestle with tradition as we seek places of resonance and innovate new forms of Jewish connection. This work is also personal for me since I'm part of the queer community— I identify as bi/pan. I'm glad to connect if you're looking for a rabbi to work with for a lifecycle, need some guidance, or if you'd like to learn more about my work in NYC at West End Synagogue (see our separate organizational submission!).
