I have been a rabbi for 26 years. I am among the first generation of rabbis to apply as an openly gay person to HUC-JIR. A major focus of my rabbinate, as a congregational rabbi, and well as an organizational rabbi, and a Hillel rabbi has been to create communities that are welcoming, affirming, and safe places for the LGBTQ+ community.
