I believe that God is not gendered and love is not gendered - that God cares not whom we choose to love but that we choose to love. I believe Judaism is a tradition in which love is the portal through which we discover our spirituality, our connection to our deepest and most authentic self, to sincere and honest relationships with others, and a holistic and holy relationship with the Holy One. I believe that God is author of the extraordinary array of creation, and that our tradition guides us to celebrate and give thanks for the diversity of creation, and to honor the full spectrum of what it means to be human. Each of us is created in the image of that one God, and it is our duty to make it possible for each and every one of us to maximize the experience of human life. Love is what attunes us to an awareness of God's presence in life, and that is why it is so important for us to endeavor to express love for ourselves, love for each other, and love for the Holy One in whose image were we all created.
I want everyone with whom I am blessed to work to know they are safe with me, and in the embrace of our congregation. I have worked throughout my career to expand my awareness and sensitivity toward LGBTQ+ individuals and to be responsive to their needs, and continue to grow and learn.
