David Weitzman is a community builder, innovator, and social justice educator based in Miami, FL. He grew up in Harrisburg, PA, and completed a B.A. in Advertising from the Pennsylvania State University. David then was the Springboard Innovation Fellow at the University of Miami Hillel, engaging students by connecting Jewish community and social justice. Upon completion of the fellowship, David served as the Program Manager at Repair the World Miami, where he supported local community organizations through service and the facilitation of social justice programs.

David is inspired to bring together his passion for Jewish Community and LGBTQ+ Justice and Equity as Keshet’s Southeast Community Mobilization Manager. He is especially eager to begin this (necessary) work in the South as the rights of LGBTQ+
individuals are being threatened.

Outside of work, David spends his free time practicing yoga, trying new recipes and restaurants in Miami, and hitting up the local farmer’s markets.
