Chavie Weisberger grew up in a tight-knit Hasidic community. She was set up to be married at age 18, divorced at 25, and then came out as queer at 30. She then spent 5 years fighting for, and ultimately winning custody of her 3 children and finding her footing in secular society. Chavie now serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Footsteps where she supports others on the journey to find their truth. This Free event begins with brunch, followed by a talk and Q&A, and is open to the entire community.
