Chicagoland LGBTQ Jews: Jewish ritual surrounding death can be more complex for LGBTQ people.

Tahara, the preparation of the body, can be problematic for trans and non-binary Jews if our wishes are not communicated before death. Questions of biological and chosen family as executors is also a question LGBTQ people may need to consider.

Join other LGBTQ Jews and representatives from the Chicagoland Progressive Chevra Kadisha (Jewish burial society) to learn about Tahara and start thinking about your wishes! No prior knowledge necessary.
