Slow down with your queer Jewish community, the evening of Friday June 7th at 5:30pm for Kabbalat Shabbat–a time for connection, gathering with loved ones, breaking bread, and practicing Jewish rituals old and new. In collaboration with and taking place at The Senesh School and Fig Tree, we will welcome in Pride Shabbat, lighting candles, raising our voices, experiencing hands-on activities, and enjoying a delicious meal together. At The Senesh School, 342 Smith Street, Brooklyn.
Pride Shabbat is presented as a part of Jewish Family Pride Brooklyn: a weekend of celebrations for Queer Jewish families and those who love them. Jewish Family Pride Brooklyn is produced by The Neighborhood: An Urban Center for Jewish Life, and is generously supported by UJA-Federation of New York.
