Ollie Rokhsar (they/he), a youth leader and mentor with Keshet, will speak at SAJ’s Pride Shabbat services. They will explore Jewish gender affirmation through a transgender Jewish lens, including Jewish texts and personal anecdotes and then engaging the congregation in a discussion about a Jewish lens on gender affirmation and the joy that this affirmation engenders. This presentation and conversation will be a great opportunity for anyone looking to further their knowledge of transgender Jewish joy, visibility, and hope! All are welcome!
Ollie Rokhsar is a queer student studying visual art, disability, and Jewish history. They have been involved in Keshet programming and leadership for nearly 5 years, most recently as a mentor to LGBTQ+ teen leaders for Keshet’s East Coast Shabbaton!
