Each session of this ongoing series explores the intersection of Judaism and queer identity. Putting these two identities in conversation creates tremendous potential for finding meaning and a deeper understanding of each identity. Everyone, regardless of whether or not they hold a queer and/or trans identity, is welcome.

This class takes place on Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day on which we honor the trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer individuals who have lost their lives to anti-trans violence. In this reflective workshop, we will explore the meaning of the Jewish Kaddish prayer and the significance it holds on this day. We will harness the power of queer community to find reverence amidst grief, connection amidst divisiveness, and hope after loss.
