As students, families, educators, and school faculty prepare for the school year ahead, Keshet offers these resources to help create a LGBTQ+ affirming school environment.

In addition to the many LGBTQ+ staff and families in our school communities, growing numbers of young people are exploring their identities or identifying as gender-expansive. Even in hostile political environments, most school leaders are eager to welcome and affirm all their students. Studies such as GLSEN’s National School Climate Survey show us that LGBTQ+ students who go to school in a fully inclusive environment — where both curriculum and school-wide policies honor their identities — experience more positive outcomes.
