Chief Program Officer

The Chief Program Officer leads Keshet’s programmatic efforts, working toward a world in which all LGBTQ Jews and our families can live with full equality, justice, and dignity.

The role of the Chief Program Officer is to guide and oversee all of Keshet’s programmatic work, including ensuring excellence of program content and delivery, supporting staff, managing impact evaluation, and setting the course for programmatic growth and sustainable impact.

National Director of Education and Training

Put yourself at the intersection of LGBTQ rights, Jewish identity and the broader movement for social justice in American society. Keshet seeks a dynamic and experienced professional to join a phenomenal team. The National Director of Education and Training leads Keshet’s largest program area to equip Jewish leaders across the country to make concrete, sustainable change toward full LGBTQ equality in their institutions and communities.

The National Director of Education and Training oversees all aspects of Keshet’s education and training department, including Keshet’s signature institutional change program, the year-long Leadership Project, as well as other training, consultation, online learning, and educational resource creation efforts.

The National Director of Education and Training reports to the Chief Program Officer and manages a team of five staff based in the Bay Area, Chicago, New York City, Minneapolis, and Western Massachusetts. We will consider candidates located anywhere in the country.

Volunteer Internships

While Keshet does not have a formalized internship program, we are always interested in connecting with motivated volunteer interns who are seeking to build their nonprofit skill set at an organization working for LGBTQ inclusion and equality in the Jewish world. We welcome applicants from all religious backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations and are looking for interns with the following skills and qualities:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and conscientious
  • Ability to work independently on projects as well as work collaboratively with a small staff
  • Comfortable prioritizing multiple tasks, problem solving, and being creative with limited resources
  • Tech savvy and lover of social media
  • Commitment to social justice in general and LGBTQ rights in particular
  • Academic credit may be available from your institution.
