From all of us at Keshet, thank you.
Together — in Texas, Florida, New York, Boston, Chicago, the Bay Area, and across North America — this year we strengthened the Jewish movement for LGBTQ+ equality, trained Jewish leaders to build communities of belonging, and created joyful gathering spaces for LGBTQ+ Jews of Color and queer Jewish youth, in a time of great need and in more places than ever before.
“The community and support I felt helped deepen my sense of belonging and pride in both my faith and my queerness. It was such a wonderful weekend, and I loved every second of it!”
“Now we have the tools to really think and speak in a way that will make others feel seen, heard, and valued. Having better language is part of imagining the world that can be, instead of the one we exist in today.”
“I’ve never had access to other LGBTQ+ Jews of Color or to a community like this before. I can let myself burst free at the seams and not feel restricted by other people’s assumptions or expectations of me.”
“As a family with two dads living in Florida, finding inclusive Jewish spaces is more important than ever. We are indebted to Keshet and its staff for their advocacy and programming in our state.”
“Consistently during our legislative meetings, lawmakers were curious about how we found our faith to affirm LGBTQ+ rights. Doing this with Keshet gave me the inspiration to persevere through these challenging conversations. I am so proud of the work we did that day. 21 of the 22 anti-LGBTQ+ bills that we were advocating against failed.”
We can’t do this work without you. Because of your support in 2024, Keshet changed lives and communities for the better. And we know you’re with us for the hard road ahead, when the rights, dignity, and safety of LGBTQ+ Jews and our families are on the line.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
And from the fire in our bellies, we hope you will continue to support Keshet and join us in taking action in the year ahead. Keshet is determined to support you and our entire community to continue building the world we all deserve.
