Steven was a Keshet volunteer and donor for more than 15 years before joining the team full-time, where he now ensures that all of our events run smoothly and brilliantly as Events Manager.
Starting his career at the Museum of Science in Boston, Steven went on to plan dozens of community events and to coordinate more than 50 weddings and B’nai Mitzvah at Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline, MA, where he ultimately assumed the role of Executive Director.
Outside of his event-ful role, Steven serves as Vice Chair, Detroit Film Theatre Usher Committee, is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Detroit Institute of Arts, co-chair of NEXTGen Detroit Pride Committee and chair of the Chessed Committee for The Well. He also was awarded the Detroit Institute of Art Volunteer of the Year and the Express Employment Professionals Circle of Excellence Award.
Steven earned his B.A. from Connecticut College where he majored in fine arts, minored in art history, and completed a Museum Studies Certificate.
With a goal of visiting every national park, Steven enjoys traveling, photography, and hosting friends and family for Shabbat dinner. He lives in Ferndale, Michigan with his husband, Jacob, his dog, Serena, and cat, Xavier (aka “Little Cat”).
