Grant Manager

Leib Leaderman brings nearly a decade of development experience in progressive politics, labor organizations, and Jewish nonprofits to grant writing at Keshet. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in Sociology, Leib began their career in community organizing, first for J Street’s student arm and later for the 2017 campaign for a $15 minimum wage in Massachusetts. In the years following, he supported Jewish young adults in hosting affordable, accessible, and transformative Shabbat dinners through OneTable.  Most recently, Leib has managed the grants portfolio for the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund (TLDEF), while executing several individual grant writing contracts as an independent contractor.

Leib’s trans, Jewish, and queer identities contribute to his strong sense of justice. He is passionate about fundraising as a means to redistribute wealth and build a more just society, nationally and at home in Brooklyn, NY. Leib is thrilled to be joining the team for the next few months and helping to secure financial support for Keshet’s crucial work across the country.
