Join the Jewish Museum and Jewish Book Council for a conversation with authors and creators whose work demonstrates the importance of storytelling in Black and Jewish communities across various disciplines. Hear from Michael Twitty, culinary historian and author of Koshersoul, Alyson Richman and Shaunna Edwards, co-authors of The Thread Collectors, and Adam McKinney, Artistic Director of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. The conversation moderated by Kendell Pinkney, founding Artistic Director of the Workshop, will explore how artists use their creative practices, from historical fiction and visual art to food and performance, as the space to tell stories.
This program is inspired by key themes in the exhibition Draw Them In, Paint Them Out: Trenton Doyle Hancock Confronts Philip Guston.
