The Anti-Defamation League will be honoring Mary Bonauto, Civil Rights Project Director at GLAD (Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders), with the 2013 Torch of Liberty Award this Spring. This award is presented to members of the community who inspire by their leadership and utilize their influence to affect positive change in the community. Mary truly exemplifies these characteristics, as well as embodies the mission of the ADL – to secure justice and fair treatment for all.

Join us for a weekend of family fun while exploring what it means to be part of the adoption community and the Jewish community at the same time. Workshops for parents and kids include topics such as Identity Issues for Adoptees Approaching B'nai Mitzvah; Jewish, LGBT, and Parenting by Adoption; Children's Books and Stories of Adoption, and Acceptance of Transracial Families in the Jewish Community. Workshops are facilitated by adoption professionals who are members of Jewish adoptive families.
