New Israel Fund’s NewGens and Keshet present An Alternative Israeli Independence Day.
It’s Israel’s birthday and the 50th year of the Occupation – let’s talk!
A PechaKucha-style event featuring 8 amazing speakers taking the audience on an emotional, intellectual and aesthetic journey.
PechaKucha is a Japanese concept, created by a group of architects and designers. The original format is the cool part: 30 slides X 30 seconds. What does this mean? Each speaker has 30 slides (in our case 20×20) and each slide runs for 30 seconds. This format creates a unique rhythm to the whole evening, keeping it upbeat and interesting. Since PechaKucha was created, the concept has been used all over the world for all sorts of communities with all sorts of intentions but the idea remains: bringing community together in a creative and innovative way to share stories and concepts.
