The theme of “peoplehood” has served Jewish and queer communities as both a battlefront and a lifeline. The question of who is “inside” and “outside” our communities has been a survival strategy. Join us as we discuss the theme of “peoplehood” in the Aleinu, a core prayer in Jewish liturgy that has sparked much discussion, division, and debate, and explore how similar ideas surface in queer community.
